Draft: this guide describes a feature customers can't use yet, so production leaves it out.

Find a customer in Contacts

Contacts lists everyone your team has texted or written down, shows who is waiting on a reply, and keeps what your team knows about each of them in one place.

Choose Contacts in the sidebar. Each customer gets one row, even if they’ve texted more than one of your numbers. The row shows their name, what they do or their number, and when you last heard from them.

A customer with no name yet shows their company if your team wrote one down. Otherwise it shows their number.

Find someone

Type in Search to find someone. It looks through names, companies, job titles, emails and notes, and a few digits find a number however it’s written.

Under the search, choose who to show:

  • All: everyone.
  • Needs a reply: customers whose last text hasn’t been answered yet. Their rows carry a clock.
  • No name: numbers nobody has named yet, so you can fill them in.

Recent, beside the search, puts whoever you heard from last at the top. Switch it to A–Z to sort by name, with numbers nobody has named at the end.

See what your team knows

Choose a customer to open their page:

  • Details: their name, company, job title, phone, email and About, your team’s note on them. Click any field to change it, the same way as in the Contact panel.
  • Conversations: each thread with them, one per number of yours they’ve texted. Choose one to open it in the inbox.
  • Latest: the last few texts and notes from the newest thread. Opening the page doesn’t mark the thread as read.

Choose Text to open their newest thread, or the copy button to copy their number.

Add or clear a customer

Choose the New contact button beside Import to write down someone your team hasn’t texted yet. They join the list straight away. To bring in a whole list, choose Import (Import your leads).

Clear details at the foot of Details removes what your team wrote about a customer. Their texts stay, so they’re still listed by their number.
