Draft: this guide describes a feature customers can't use yet, so production leaves it out.
Find your way around the inbox
The inbox has one list per business number, a thread for each customer, and a panel with their details and any call in progress.
The inbox at app.sojabean.com is four columns, left to right.
- The sidebar. Activity at the top gathers what needs you, such as a teammate mentioning you, and its badge counts what you haven’t read. On a wide screen it opens beside the sidebar, so you can see to it without leaving the conversation you’re in. Under Inboxes, All conversations comes first, then one inbox for each of your team’s numbers, with the number under its name. The count beside an inbox is how many of its conversations have texts nobody on the team has opened. Under Channels are the channels your team talks in, each counting what was said since you last read it, with a lock on a private one, then New channel, and Archived once a channel has been put away. Right-click a channel for its menu (Channels). Your account, with Sign out, is at the bottom.
- The conversation list. One row per customer: their name, when you last heard from them, and the latest line. A row on green has a call going on now, a red line is a missed call, and a dot means unread. Each row’s Actions button (⋯) archives it, marks it unread or adds the customer to your contacts, and Archived at the top holds what your team put away. See Archive a conversation, or mark it unread.
- The thread. Everything with that customer in order: texts, calls, callback requests and your team’s notes. See How a conversation thread works.
- The panel. The customer’s details, and while a call is on, a Live call tab.
In a narrower window the columns fold away. Below 1,280 pixels the panel opens over the thread instead of beside it, and below 1,024 the sidebar narrows to its icons, with Activity opening as a page. Below 768 pixels the sidebar is gone: the inboxes are pills at the top of the list (All and one per number), and Activity and Channels are buttons beside the list’s title, Activity with its count and Channels with a dot while one has something new.
