Draft: this guide describes a feature customers can't use yet, so production leaves it out.
Put Soja’s chat on your website
Paste one line into your site, and Soja chats with your visitors and leaves what they need in your inbox as a callback request.
Your website can carry Soja’s chat. A visitor opens it from the Chat with us key at the bottom right of the page. Soja doesn’t know your business yet, so it doesn’t answer questions about it. It finds out what the visitor needs, asks for the best number to reach them, reads both back, and passes them to your team.
Add it to your site
- In Soja, open Settings. Under Website chat, choose Copy snippet.
- Paste it into every page of your site, just before
</body>.
The chat shows once your team has a number and a plan. Until then the snippet shows nothing, so you can paste it early.
What your team sees
When the visitor says what Soja read back is right, a callback request lands in your inbox, in the thread for the number they gave. It is a note from Soja, so only your team sees it, and it starts Callback request from the website chat. The thread moves to the top as unread, and everyone on your team who turned on notifications hears about it.
Soja tells the visitor that someone on your team will call or text them at that number. It doesn’t tell them when, so get back to them soon.
Under the box, the chat says Powered by Sojabean. It plays no sounds on your site.
