Your profile and status

Your team sees your photo, name and status beside your notes and messages, and on your card when they point at your face.

The first time you open your team’s inbox, your profile opens beside it with Put a face to your name. Fill in what you like and choose Save, or choose Later: nothing waits on it, and it won’t open by itself again.

Open your profile

Choose your name at the top left, then Edit profile. You can also choose Edit profile under You in Settings. On a phone, choose your face at the top of the inbox. Or point at your own face or name beside one of your messages, and choose Edit profile on your card.

Your photo

1. Choose Add a photo, or drop a picture on the circle.
2. Drag the picture to place it in the circle, and zoom to fit.
3. Choose Use photo.

The photo is saved straight away. Change photo picks another, and Remove goes back to your initials.

Your name and bio

Type your Name and, if you like, a Bio: what you look after, and when you’re around. Choose Save.

Your status

Choose your name at the top left and pick one, or pick it on your own card, which shows when you point at your face beside one of your messages:

• Available: your team sees you’re around.
• Away: your team sees you’re away. Everything still reaches you.
• Do not disturb: notifications stay quiet on your devices until you switch back.

Your card also has a box for what you’re up to, like “Back at 3”: type it and press Enter, or choose × to clear it. In your profile you can say the same, and choose when it clears: after 30 minutes, 1 hour or 4 hours, at the end of Today or This week, or Don’t clear. When it clears, you’re Available again.

Your email

1. In your profile, choose Change beside your email.
2. Type the new address and choose Send code.
3. Enter the 6-digit code we emailed to the new address.

From then on you sign in with the new address. We let the old address know it changed. The code expires in 10 minutes.
